Do you belong in the PUNK genre? Punks came to be known as the rebellious teens, but there is more to it. They tend to go against norms, rules, authority, and whatever has been too strictly established. They stand out as being indomitable and youthful in their refusal to “grow up and accept the way things are”, wreaking havoc if they believe they must (or simply can). Like other genres here, while tolerating little to no nonsense, they do their own thing in spite of what’s mainstream. Wearing leather jackets, chains, studs, and spikes along with other intimidating and IDGAF features can be expected in their looks. Ultimately, though, they bring the boldness to stand up for something, even when it’s hard and even if you’ll be shunned for it.
BEWARE! A common pitfall is the assumption that anything restrictive should be spit on or even destroyed, that being rebels without a cause is just as cool, which can turn into mindless messiness and chaos, missing the point.
